The Ignite Clean Energy Business Plan Competition Finals will be held November 10, 2009 in the Massachusetts State House.
Come hear the 10 Finalists' presentations, see Exhibits from the teams and sponsors and network within the cleantech industry!

Registration opens at 11:30am and the Program begins 12:00pm. Awards will be presented at 4:00pm
Your seat will be resold if you have not arrived by 12:50 pm on November 10th
Enter the State House through the General Hooker Entrance; you will be going through security.

Judges:
Carol Battershell, Senior Advisor, Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, Commercialization and Deployment. Carol, a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary, develops public-private partnerships with key industries for the commercialization and deployment of EERE technologies in the US.

Ellen Bossert, Senior Director, Green North America, Philips Lighting. Ellen Bossert leads Green and Sustainability initiatives for Philips Lighting NA including the company’s work to increase the energy efficiency of government infrastructure and buildings across the nation. Ms. Bossert’s experience focuses on adoption and growth of disruptive technologies and transformative market opportunities.

Patrick Cloney, Executive Director, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. Mr. Cloney is the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. He has eighteen years of experience in power plant operations, management, business development, and strategic planning.

Mark Donohue, Babson College Clean Technology Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In June 2008, Mr. Donohue was appointed Babson College’s first Clean Technology Entrepreneur-in-Residence. From 2001 to 2008, he was the Founder and Chairman of Expansion Capital Partners, LLC, a pioneer in Cleantech investing. His career has focused on entrepreneurship, investment management and corporate strategy in the areas of Clean Technology and socially responsible business.

Timothy Healy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, EnerNOC, Inc. As CEO, Co-Founder, and Chairman of EnerNOC. Prior to EnerNOC, Tim worked in the Energy Technology Laboratory for Northern Power Systems, Inc., Merrill Lynch, International Fuel Cells (now UTC Fuel Cells), and Commonwealth Capital Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital firm.

Miriam Horn, Clean Technology Specialist, Environmental Defense Fund. Horn co-authored Earth: The Sequel; The Race to Reinvent Energy and Stop Global Warming and leads the distributed generation and storage team for Austin’s Pecan Street (smart grid) project.

Paul Hsiao, Partner, New Enterprise Associates. NEA has $11B under management and 225 portfolio companies across energy, IT, and healthcare. Paul co-founded a successful MIT spin-out, Mazu Networks. He is a graduate of MIT and HBS.

Jim Matheson, General Partner, Flagship Ventures. Jim joined Flagship Ventures in 2000 and focuses on creating and funding new ventures in the sustainability, clean technology and special technologies arenas.

David Marcus, Chairman, General Compression and Managing Partner, Chestnut Capital. David helped launch General Compression in 2006 with a vision of creating Dispatchable Wind projects. As Managing Partner of Chestnut Capital, David has been a wind energy and clean tech investor since 2002, and is a member of Clean Energy Venture Group.
